The Weaving Process
As an OEM manufacturer of knit fabrics and woven fabrics, Khodiyar Textile has the ability to manage all aspects of our production. This means better quality control, consistent dyeing/printing effects, optimal timeframe and re-orderability.
Detailed Weaving Process
1. Warp Preparation:
Warp yarns, which run lengthwise, are prepared and wound onto a warp beam.
These yarns may be sized (coated with a starch-like compound) to provide strength and speed for weaving.
2. Loom Setup:
The warp beam is mounted on the loom, and the warp yarns are threaded through the various parts of the loom.
3. Weaving Cycle:
Shedding: Warp yarns are separated to create a "shed" (an opening) for the weft.
Picking: The weft yarn (or shuttle carrying the weft) is passed through the shed.
Beating: The weft yarn is pushed into place against the previously woven fabric to create a new row.
4. Repeat:
These steps (shedding, picking, and beating) are repeated to form the fabric.
5. Additional Steps:
Take-up: The woven fabric is wound onto a cloth roller.
Let-off: The warp is released from the warp beam at a controlled rate.
